Same problem

I see by some of the reviews that I'm not the only one that is wondering what has happened to my favorite Ritz. They certainly are different from what they used to be. Have you changed the recipe? If so, why???? You need to go back to the original recipe. This is the first box that I have noticed how crumbly they are. As someone else has mentioned - you can't spread anything on them because they just break apart in your hand. Please go back to the way that they used to be! And then I'll be very grateful!

Ritz crumbles

Has the recipe changed? Every other Ritz seems to break or crumble. These are no longer suitable for dips and as a delivery for small bites. The holiday variety were the worse. I think even the taste has changed? These old time favorites have gone from top shelf to be our least used cracker. I at first thought that maybe I purchased a box that had been dropped, but even the next two boxes were just as bad. They just break and crumble, break and crumble. No more information is needed, just break and crumble, break and crumble. No more, no more, just break and crumble, yes, just break and crumble.

Stail taste in two boxes

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased a box of Ritz, which I do once a week. Once opened I could only eat 10 crackers due to the bad taste.

I at first thought it was the pepperoni I was eating with the cracker, but after a single cracker it gave me a sour taste. I then tried putting on peanut butter with hopes of eating it that way, but the same taste occurred. Along with the sour taste it also had an overpowering after taste that lasted until I brushed my teeth. I took them back to Wal-mart where I had purchased them, and they let me exchange them for another box.

The best used by date was 17FEB15AE32A06:13. The new box was dated the same except for the time, it was 06:12. I opened the new box and sampled a cracker. Making a quick decision, I said it was OK and left the store (my bad) when I got home and began eating the crackers they were the same as the others.

I along with my parents have been buying Ritz crackers my whole life and not come upon this problem. We are talking over 60 years here, and the first time I had to complain about the taste, although I have noticed in the ladder years that they have been becoming less flavorful that's why I use the peanut butter or pepperoni to add flavor.

I think it's time I change my brand to Keebler Townhouse crackers which has a nice buttery flavor like it always had when I ate them when I was young.

I have been having the same issues-- the Ritz crackers are now very thin and very hard, sometimes really really really salty or little to no salt. They are no longer buttery/flakey/melt-in-your-mouth.

I recently found that one of their smaller packages was labeled "Original" while the others weren't, so I bought it. They were very close to what the normal Ritz crackers were. When that package was gone, I bought another, but the new package was just like the other crackers (not labeled "original")-- thin/hard/tastes-like-cardboard.

So, I gave up and paid the extra money for Keebler's Club crackers.

I was pretty shocked that those tasted exactly like the Ritz cracker. The were lacking the buttery/flakey aspects and were also the thin and stale/hardness that the ritz has AND they have that cardboard taste as well.

What is happening to our crackers?

Ritz Crackers - Crackers Review from Rochdale, England

Probably the most bland biscuit I've ever had in the entirety of my very long life. As it happens I remember having a ritz cracker when I was younger and it was much more appetising. Perhaps this is because back then the three main ingredients weren't flour, palm oil and sugar.

We are like some other comments that said they "had at least three bags of crushed crackers " . We love these crackers but I want a refund for a six pack box of crackers.

Got them from Wal Mart.

In Jasper Alabama. Thank you and keep making them, but maybe not so dry.

Roasted veg crackers crumbles

two boxes of this cracker(roasted vegetable) crumble on touch, can't even get them out of package before they crumble not to say most are already crumbled waste of money. My favorite cracker is ritz no longer.I have gone through at least 2 boxes of these crackers trying to use them with dips and with cheese spreads impossible. Last summer I bought regular ritz and they were burnt and threw them out .Where is your quality control if your to make smaller packages you should be able to make better crackers like you used to do. Very very pissed off .thanks

Too crumbly.

It seems like every time I purchase a box of Ritz crackers, it seems that you can't even take them out of the sleeve that they are in. You touch them and they crumble all to pieces. This is very embarrassing when you are trying to serve them to guests and they crumble all to pieces. You can't serve them with anything because they are all crumbled to pieces. It is ridiculous that you can't even buy good crackers any more. Guess it is because they are made in Old Mexico these Days. That's what you get for sending work out of the country. Guess I will have to start using Club Crackers. Charles Davis 1511 Balmorhea Lane Round Rock, Texas 78664

My last Ritz cracker

I have had my last Ritz cracker, never again will I purchase Ritz: Initially I was able to accept the approximate twenty percent reduction in your per box product count as I figured it would ultimately result in a price reduction; it did not, I guess it was just greed! Then the next problem was the "light salt" crackers no longer being available in our local Wegmans Super Market Stores! I was using one box per week and have now decided I will never buy any type of Ritz crakers or NABISCO products again. I DON'T NEED YOU! I guess your unaware of customer satisfaction.

We buy Ritz crackers pretty often and they seem just fine to us. Maybe your taste buds are getting old.

I doubt if the officials at the company who makes the crackers read pissedconsumer. Contact the company if you have issues.

I noticed this too and was wondering the same thing! They used to be my favorite go to snack and now the flavor is different and they are very crumbly.

They seem fluffier if that is even possible. I am very disappointed in Ritz and might as well go back to the Kroger brand.

TOO MUCH SALT!!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I bought a box of Ritz Crackers to discover that they had too much salt on them. We bought them from Family Dollar in Baltimore City, MD. Raymond Holmes execholmes@***.net The excessive use of salt is unacceptable because this family is trying our best to stay healthy. Please respond and fix this problem. My eMail address is above. Thank you for your service, Ritz employees. I have to type 100 words, so I'm just gonna keep going. This is the first problem I have had with Ritz products. It was a shock to discover they would put this much salt on a cracker.

Box of snowflake ritz almost all broken

I got a box of the snowflake ritz to make snacks for Christmas and the box looked fine but got home and most of the crackers were crumbled and broke....Very disappointed. I don't know how they could all or most be crumbled or broken with the box having no damage to it. Of course it was too late to try to take them back to the store since I was having a get together that night so I had to rummage through the packs to find some whole ones to use. I don't know if I'll ever buy the Ritz crackers again.
