A box of 4 Ritz Crackers that I purchased 2 weeks ago was an already down sized 15.1 oz. The Ritz box that I purchased today is 13.7 oz.

Will a Ritz box purchased next week be the size of a box of Animal Crackers? Does Kraft Foods think we are not aware of the incredible shrinking size of product boxes? Consumers are VERY aware and savvy! I would rather pay more money to have the old "large" 4-stack boxes back and I am sure there are a lot of others who feel as I do.

What does it cost Kraft to constantly change the size of their boxes? STOP IT ALREADY.

I whole heartedly agree with this post. I too, have been a customer for years, and now sometimes pass on the Ritz crackers for this reason.

It just feels like they are trying to be sneaky and deceptive by slowly reducing the content.

Seems quite common these days.I think many consumers strike back without saying anything. Very short sited move, this trying to rip off the consumer.

What is going on I bought 2 boxes but boxes were only 10.3 ounces and I think the cracker size is smaller.

What if Jesus reduced the amount of bread at the last supper, or the sop?

Nothing like opening a box of the same crackers youโ€™ve had since as long as you can remember, then shortly after having a few realizing that your at the bottom of the box already when clearly you shouldnโ€™t be. Cheap *****

Iโ€™m tired of the games. Not buying Ritz for a year. Join me!

Ya itโ€™s ***

It's not just Ritz, it's EVERYTHING !!! ...

Most notably, chips !

... Price's are already ridiculously high, but then to get less product, is like a slap in the face !!

After years as a Ritz devotee I'am extremely disappointed in the Ritz shrinking package yet paying the same price. If there were a suitable substitute I'd be gone faster than you could say Ritz.

Since there's no direct sub I'm switching to toast or Great Value's brand(Walmart).

It's past time that consumers should let mfgs.

know we're voting with our $$$$. Let you're opinion be known---it's easy to do now days.

Yes I think it's outrageous but it's just not Kraft. The Nabisco graham crackers have shrunken horribly in size.

I am a diabetic and use these for when my sugar drops! Ticked off!

I did not notice the smaller amount in the sleeve and made a recipe I have been making for years, only to have it turn out soupy. How many crackers were in a sleeve before they changed it?

That's my problem too. I can't find out how many crackers were in the "old" sleeve.

Fewer crackers makes the recipe different.

I can't find any numbers to compare them. Did you?

Guest

Yes, the fresh stacks are nice, but we have switched to other brands. To continually raise prices, and reduce content (VALUE), is unconscionable.

what are the other brands you've found....I' like to try them....Thanks

Next they will move all their factories to Mexico. Inflation doesn't always mean paying more per box, sometimes it simply means paying more for a cheaper product.

I too am disgusted with Ritz due to the downsizing and quality consistency. They even shrinked the Costco boxes.

The last box I bought is the last (new "normal" size box from grocery store). The crackers were so fragile, I could not spread peanut butter on them without crumbling to pieces - never mind trying to dip them... I think one out of three boxes have been good. Lack of salt or over/under cooked on others.

I have bought a box that was half crumbs due to the fragile issue. I think they have no quality control for taste and what is in the packaging.

I have switched to trying alternatives. So far Trader Joes and Whole Foods back to Nature.

Both good alternatives and compared to the last batch from Ritz, they were better in my taste test given the crunchiness but maybe not as buttery. Albeit this batch of Ritz were not normal.

Whole Foods has another - I think their own brand that I will try next time - the box says butter flavour. I saved some Ritz to compare.

but there is no inflation!!!!

I love and eat a ton of the vegetable ritz crackers. I was totally passed when making an order expecting company and oped the box and found only three tubes instead of four.

AND ONE TUBE WAS ONLY HALF FULL. I EXPECT A FREE CASE.

I agree with all the comments and can verify the packages are smaller. BUT the crackers themselves vary so much in how they taste.

We don't have a salt problem so we do Not but low sodium. Yet some of the regular Ritz will have no salt on the top. Some of the crackers are hard and tasteless. The big boxes they package for Costco seem to taste the worst to us, hard crackers with no salt.

I don't get it.

I guess what keeps me buying them is that every once in a blue moon we will get a box that are PERFECT!

Guest

I agree you expect to get as you've always gotten instead of box size changing without any prior announcement

Guest

It's not just the number of crackers per sleeve, or number of sleeves per box - the actual, physical diameter of the cracker itself is perhaps 20% - 25% smaller than it was a couple decades ago. Not to mention the taste is worse. Ritz is now the, well, **itz.

Kinda sad, really.
